I’ve thought long and hard about what to say and when the moment would come. First off, this isn’t a goodbye… but it is a confirmation that @FuelCleveland won’t be happening for the foreseeable future.
For me, Fuel Cle was always about community. Bringing like minded individuals together and giving people a moment to shine all while inspiring others to start riding, building, and creating. And in the end, I think we achieved that.
I’ve met so many talented people over the years organizing this show and some have become life long friends. The stories I have heard from kids that went to the the shows back in the early days and were inspired to build a chopper – hoping to one day have a chance to show off their talents with their bike in the show. Countless travel stories to get to Cleveland, and the chaos that rained down on the streets with wheelies and burnouts I still hear to this day.
Thank you to everyone who donated their time to help work the event over the years. Your help not only was the glue that helped keep the show running but made the shows go without a hitch.
I also want to give a big thank you to Tyler Malinky @lowbrowcustoms & Jesse Bassett @thegasbox, my partners in the show. You have always believed in my vision and given me so much support along the way. Your mentorship and guidance over the years has help shape my core values in business and in life. I love and respect both of you immensely.
Lastly, I’d like to give the biggest thank you to my number one supporter, my beautiful wife and love of my life, Kat @starlasaz. You have alway been there for me, and helped keep me sane and motivated during my planning of these wild events each year. Remember the first show you and I framed over 150 photography prints and all the cuts on our fingers…? Lol thanks being my ride or die. I love you.
Thank you again to everyone for the memories, I will cherish and hold on to for the rest of my life… it’s been real.
Now stop listening to me… and go get your next bike together and go ride for the sake of riding. Get together with some friends and take a week-long road trip. Find a new adventure, the possibilities are endless. Make some new memories, ones you’ll cherish forever, because that’s what this life is really all about: sharing the good times with the ones you love.
Be excellent to each other.
PEACE! & Love
